Welcome to web-doc-scanner.app. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our web document scanning service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
web-doc-scanner.app lets you upload document photos, arrange pages, rotate images, process them into cleaned scan results, and export results as images, PDF files, or ZIP archives. Some features may require an account or scan credits. We currently support a fixed number of free scans per day and may add payment features and subscription plans later.
2. Account and Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
- The Service currently supports sign-in through Google OAuth.
- You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated when necessary.
3. Free Credits, Future Subscriptions, and Payments
- Free access currently includes a fixed number of scan credits per day. Daily credits, reset rules, or usage limits may change based on service configuration.
- The Service does not currently provide paid purchases or subscription checkout. If payment features are added later, paid plans or subscriptions will be governed by the terms, prices, and benefits shown at checkout.
- If subscriptions are supported in the future, you may cancel through the management flow available at that time; unless stated otherwise, paid access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
- Except where required by law, future paid scan credits or subscription access may be non-refundable once used, as described by the policy shown at purchase.
4. Your Documents and License
You retain rights to the document photos you upload and the scan results you generate. You grant us a temporary, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, transmit, process, and display your files solely to operate the Service and provide scan results and exports.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload, scan, and export each document. Do not upload documents that you are not authorized to process.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to upload, process, export, or distribute content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or infringes another person's rights.
- Contains sensitive personal data, confidential records, or regulated information that you are not authorized to process through the Service.
- Includes malware, attempts to exploit the Service, or is designed to disrupt our systems.
- Attempts to bypass login, rate limits, credit checks, future payment restrictions, or security controls.
- Uses automated access in a way that overloads or harms the Service.
We may suspend or terminate access, remove data, or block jobs that violate these Terms or threaten service integrity.
6. Output Disclaimer
Scan output quality depends on the source image, lighting, angle, focus, and processing conditions. Results may contain artifacts, cropped content, color differences, or recognition errors. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before using them for legal, financial, medical, or other important purposes.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its interface, code, branding, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or misuse the Service except as permitted by law.
8. Third-Party Providers
The Service may depend on providers such as Google, object storage providers, document-processing providers, and analytics vendors. We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, or actions by third parties outside our reasonable control.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, bypass credits or future payment limits, or if required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD 50.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from documents you upload, your use of outputs, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where we are incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.
